it can draft and continue ideas, but it's built to help you write, not replace you. you accept, tweak, or throw out every suggestion — nothing lands on your score without you.

it won't restructure anything you didn't ask it to touch. notei edits the selection you give it and leaves the rest of the score alone, so it can't quietly rewrite bars you were happy with. it also never commits a change on its own, every suggestion waits for you to accept it.

if we know you're 18 or older, notei keeps your requests to the assistant to improve its own models and to fix faults. a kept request can include your prompt, the notes you gave it, the settings, what it generated, whether you kept it, and any error, and it's linked to your account. this is on by default for those accounts, and you can turn it off any time in settings > privacy > “help improve notei”. it's never on for anyone under 18 or for an account whose age we don't know. the outside model providers notei sends requests to don't train on your content under their terms, and education-edition work is never used for training.

that's your teacher's call, and notei is built so the answer can be yes. every suggestion arrives as editable notes you accept, change or reject, so the finished score reflects your decisions rather than a generated output you never saw. check the assignment's rules on software first.
